Ahh 1995 was a good year, Forrest Gump was number one at the box office, PlayStation one just dropped, the internet was just learning how to walk, and oh yeah the Buffalo Bills won the AFC EAST. Fast forward 25 years later, history is repeating itself in a way, and the internet is definitely being used in a lot of different ways. PlayStation just dropped the newest gaming console, the PS5, Tom Hanks has a new movie in theaters Christmas day, and oh yeah the Bills have won their division again, for the first time in 25 years.
Under head coach Sean McDermott, the Bills have grown into one of the NFL's best teams, and for Bills fans, it's been painful but it's starting to pay off. QB Josh Allen is playing at a MVP level, and with the newest accusation of WR Stefon Diggs this off-season, the Bills offense is breaking All-Time Bills records and making the 90's look like a distant memory.
Bills GM Brandon Beane has done an amazing job turning this team into a powerhouse and for the first time, in a longtime, the Buffalo Bills are legitimate contenders for the Super Bowl. “It’s great that we’re able to do it for the first time in 25 years,” said quarterback Josh Allen. “To be the team and to be the quarterback on the team that does it, obviously feels really good. At the same time, that’s not our end goal. We set out to do this in order to get the chance to do what we really want to do, and that’s to win a Super Bowl championship.”
Although the season isn't over yet, and the playoffs are right around the corner, the clock doesn't seem to be striking midnight on this magical season for the Bills and their dedicated fan base, "The Bills Mafia".
